We collect what we need to format your book and delete it 30 days after delivery.
What we collect
- From the intake form: your checkout email, book title, author name, genre, package, word count, trim size, interior style, manuscript link, add-on details, notes, your three confirmations, the time, your browser's user-agent, and the Stripe checkout session ID if your browser passes it on.
- For spam protection: a one-way, salted hash of your IP address, kept for 24 hours to limit repeat submissions. We don't store the IP address itself.
- From Stripe: your payment confirmation and checkout email. We never see your card number.
- Your manuscript, which we download from your link.
How we use it
Only to format your book, deliver the files, handle corrections and refunds, and answer your emails. AI tools assist the formatting, and a person reviews the output. We don't use your manuscript to train AI models. We don't sell or share your information for marketing.
How long we keep it

Who processes it
Clearwork Studio and its tools. Service providers: Cloudflare (website and intake database), Stripe (payments) and Google (file delivery).

Email clearworkhq+books@mail.grokbot.com to get a copy of what we hold or to have your manuscript and intake record deleted early.
